When storms strike and families are left in tears, when hunger knocks at the door and anxiety fills the air, it is easy for people to feel helpless. But time and times again, the Filipino spirit rises, undaunted, unbroken, and unstoppable. Once again, this spirit shone brightly in the recent relief operations of the Overseas Filipino Workers Toledo Multipurpose Cooperative (OFWTMPC) in Bogo and Compostela City, Cebu.

The Heart of Bayanihan Lives On

Bayanihan is not just a word it is a living pulse in every Filipino. It is the willingness to carry on another through hardship, to step forward even when life seems uncertain, and to give even when one's own resources are limited.During the OFWTMPC relief distribution, this spirit was felt everywhere. Volunteers arrived with smiles, not because they had no struggles of their own, but because they believed that compassion is stronger than any storm. Members shared their time, energy, and resources not because they had excess, but because their hearts overflowed with empathy.

God Makes a Way Always

In the midst of sadness and hopelessness, God always open doors. Many families in Bogo and Compostela shared how they felt lost after the calamity - homes damaged, livelihoods affected, and food running low. But the moment OFWTMPC arrived with relief goods, tears turned into smiles. People whispered, " Salamat, Lord ... naa gyud Siya kanunay.

It was a reminder that God uses people to reach people. And in these operations, He used OFWTMPC members, officers and even non- members who extended their help to become instruments of hope.

OFWTMPC: A Family Beyond Borders

What makes OFWTMPC extraordinary is not just its programs -- it is its people. Members are not required to help. Nobody is forced to donate. Yet they continue to give, to serve, to show up. Because in OFWTMPC, we are not just a cooperative we are a family.

A family that lifts on another.

A family that serves without expecting anything in return.

A family that believes that every act of kindness plants a seed of hope.

From repacking foods items to distributing them, every volunteer embodied the essence of service and love. Together, they showed Cebu what it means to love beyond oneself, beyond borders, beyond limitations, beyond storms.

A Message to the People of Bogo and Compostela

To every family we met,

To every family we held,

To every smile we witnessed,
